These will be the key topics of discussion at a major conference on the Future of Europe in Lahti, Finland on 31 January 2019, bringing together high-level politicians and representatives of the EU institutions, Member States and regional authorities.
This conference comes at a crucial time for the Future of Europe and Baltic Sea cooperation, as 2019 will involve the European elections, Brexit, the revision of the Action Plan of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region and the negotiations of the EU Budget and policies for 2021-2027.
The event will aim to investigate the key role of Baltic regions in these important areas, with speakers including:

The ‘Future of Europe’ conference, being held at the Lahti Sibelius Hall, Ankkurikatu 7, 15140 Lahti, is being organised by Region of Päijät-Häme in cooperation with Oulu Region, the CPMR Baltic Sea Commission, and the Representation of the European Commission in Finland.
