The CPMR Baltic Sea Commission Transport Working Group and Helsinki-Uusimaa Regional Council are organising an Expert Workshop and Open Forum on TEN-T policy revision to highlight the special features of transport development in northern Europe. Active participation in the TEN-T policy review is crucial to strengthen the role of northern Europe in innovation and digitalisation, and as a frontrunner in sustainable economic growth.

The TEN-T Guidelines Expert Workshop and Open Forum build on the public consultation process by the European Commission of the TEN-T Policy by 17 July 2019. The event brings together transport policy-makers at European, national and regional levels to discuss the relevance, effectiveness and efficiency of the TEN-T guidelines and how they, as the European strategy, could contribute to national legislation, and support regional and local development towards efficient, safe, smart and sustainable transport which contributes to climate change mitigation.
